Dear Prof Ken,
As one of your admirers, I felt inspired to contribute in my own small way to the expansion of your book The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible. Since I first discovered classical liberal ideas early in my university years in 2017, your book has remained my all-time favorite.
With great enthusiasm, I continue to work on making it more accessible here in Burundi and across the region through our hub. As planned in our roadmap, I prepared a report of my recent activities last week. The upcoming debate is approaching, and I am truly excited to once again share your ideas with many young people here in Burundi.

Report on the Promotion of the Adventures of Jonathan Gullible in Burundi

Word from the CEO
Eight years ago, I was just a student without direction or a sense of purpose. My vision of life was limited to studying, finding a job, and waiting for retirement. That changed dramatically in 2017 when Aimable Manirakiza, CEO of CDE Great Lakes, offered me a CD from Linda Weston on classical liberal ideas. That moment transformed my life forever.
In 2021, I had the privilege to contribute to the French translation of Prof. Ken Schoolland’s timeless book, The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible, and to promote it across French-speaking countries. A year later, at the Liberty Camp in Uganda organized by ALED, I met the author in person. That encounter deepened my pride and commitment to spreading a book that continues to change lives in Burundi.
Since then, through Resolution Connect—the think tank I founded in 2020—we have promoted free markets, individual freedom, and property rights. We have implemented flagship programs with the support of independent donors and libertarian foundations, to whom I remain forever grateful.
Today, through URUMURI HUB, we continue to educate, equip, and empower young leaders to become heroes like Jonathan Gullible. My dream of creating a libertarian incubator is no longer a vision, but a mission we are living each day.
The promotion of The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible has become central to this mission. It is a book that introduces students to liberty, inspires responsibility, and challenges them to pursue entrepreneurship and leadership. The young people I have met on this journey, many of whom are now professionals or entrepreneurs, often thank me for introducing them to these ideas. Their gratitude fuels my dedication to this cause.

Introduction
In 2021, Resolution Connect proudly assisted in the French translation of The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible by Prof. Ken Schoolland. Since then, we have been committed to promoting this book across Burundi and French-speaking Africa.
Our conviction stems from personal experience. Having been inspired by the author at Liberty Camp in Uganda in 2022, I understood firsthand the impact of the book. As a think tank established in 2020, Resolution Connect seeks to promote free market principles, individual liberty, and property rights. The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible has become one of the most effective vehicles to advance these ideas among students and young professionals in Burundi.
Our Journey with Jonathan Gullible
2017: Personal discovery of classical liberal ideas through mentors like Aimable Manirakiza.
2020: Establishment of Resolution Connect to promote liberty through education and research.
2021: Contribution to the French translation of The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible.
2022: First encounter with Prof. Ken Schoolland at Liberty Camp Uganda.
2025: Expansion of book promotion through seminars, reading groups, debates, and partnerships with universities.

Upcoming Plans
Resolution Connect is preparing the semi-final debate forum in Bujumbura, scheduled for late October or early November 2025.
- Participants: 40 debaters (6 groups) and 300+ spectators from universities of Bujumbura, Butanyerera and from Gitega.
- Books: Print 300 additional French copies for students and the public.
- Outreach: Public debate sessions to reach first-time readers.
- Visibility: Expand the reach of liberty ideas to academic communities.
Funding Needs
We are mobilizing USD 2,000 to cover:
- Printing and distribution of 300 French copies.
- Travel and accommodation for 20 debaters from Ngozi and Gitega.
- Logistical costs for hosting semi-final debates in Bujumbura.
